Can the school control or select the provider?
Yes. If you have a current Food Provider we are happy to work with them. If you don’t, Lunchonline will find Food Providers in your local region from which you can choose. However, if you are aware of a Food Provider that you want to use, they can also join this programme and the school can select them.
Why would a School have more than one Provider?
A School may wish to have for example sushi on one day, bakery options on another and a sausage sizzle on another day.
What if the student does not have access to the internet?
Lunchonline is an internet based solution only. If the student or parent/caregiver has no access to the internet, then they cannot take advantage of the programme.
Can lunches be cancelled?
Orders can be cancelled for future lunches as long as the cancellation is received by the Provider’s cut off time.
How does a school benefit financially?
How do Schools control the Provider’s menu?
A Food Provider will normally be supplying more than one school. If there are some food items that you want added to the menu, you should discuss this directly with the Food Provider (it will be in the Food Provider’s interest to add these items if there is demand). Food Items on the menu that the school does not want to make available to the students can be turned off by the school. Students from that school will not see those food items. The school can make food items permanently unavailable or just on selected days (e.g. pies available on Friday only).
What happens if a lunch is not delivered?
A full delivery report should be included with the lunch orders. If a child’s name appears on this list and it has not been delivered, the school should contact the Food Provider directly or call the Lunchonline support phone number.
How does a School join?
The School must register with Lunchonline by completing the Interest Registration form on this website. We will then make contact with the School to discuss Food Providers and the set up process.
Is Lunchonline available to all Schools?
Conceptually YES, but does depend on school roll, travel distance for local Provider and days the lunch service is required.
